Hobbies
Although I have always placed a huge emphasis on schoolwork (no matter how boring the material may seem at first), I do enjoy quite a few things outside of tutoring. I likely spend the largest amount of my free time playing, writing, and learning about music. I have been a dedicated drummer for 15 years, a guitarist for 8 years, a bassist for 8 years, and have casually played piano and ukulele for a few years each. I am a fan of many types of music, ranging from rap (my favorite rapper at the moment is Chance the Rapper) to jazz (John Coltrane, anybody?) to the most popular of rock music (I will never be able to decide if the Police are better than the Killers). When I am feeling like honing more applicable skills than music, I enjoy practicing programming in Python; whether I use the language in my career or not, the language is easy to use. I have really enjoyed the growth I've experienced using Python to code various personal projects as well as make my day job easier. Although Python programming and music take a hefty chunk out of my free time, perhaps my easiest hobby to understand is talking. Yes, I consider talking a hobby. I *love* to talk about every common topic between me and all the people I meet. This 'hobby' has helped my tutoring sessions be extremely productive.
